Seating

Awarded the accolades of World's Best First Class, Best First Class Airline Seat and Best First Class Onboard Catering at the 2010 and 2011 Skytrax World Airline Awards, Etihad's Diamond First Class outshines comparable classes in the industry with award-winning ambience and immaculate attention to detail.

Individual cabins are arranged in a 4-abreast, 1-2-1 seat configuration, each with a seat upholstered in luxurious Poltrona Frau leather, which transforms into a 180 degree flat bed. A six-way movement headrest, backrest, armrest, leg rest and footrest ensure a relaxing journey. The seats feature pneumatic lumbar support with built-in massage facility, reading light and desk lamp, as well as a mini-bar, coat hanger and personal stowage space.

Dining

Etihad's in-flight service, Inspired Service, allows guests the flexibility to choose when to eat and drink from a new menu featuring a la carte and kitchen choices. Enjoy a medley of fine ingredients, with Oriental, Asian, European and Middle Eastern influences creating classic choices. Choose the finest wines served from the bottle by your personal Food & Beverage Manager.

Entertainment

Diamond First Class brings big-screen luxury (at 23", the new LCD screens are the largest in the industry) to the skies, including over 600 hours of world class entertainment with the Audio-Video On-Demand (AVOD) system and noise-cancelling headsets. Diamond First suites also offer in-flight telephony on some aircraft, two USB ports and an RCA socket, so you can connect your laptop.

The self-contained, spacious seat transforms into a 6'1", 180 degree flat bed. With a 49" seat pitch and direct access to the aisle, the Pearl Business seat offers plenty of space. For added comfort, each seat is also equipped with individual lighting and a reading lamp. There's also a built-in massage facility to help you relax.

Like every other aspect of travelling in Pearl Business Class, dining is a refined experience. Etihad's award-winning chefs prepare a delicious menu of modern cuisine that reflects their truly international flavour and service remains warm and personal. Skytrax 2009, awarded Etihad Airways Best Business Class Catering. Etihad is also pleased to offer the services of an onboard Food & Beverage Manager, responsible for championing the quality, presentation and delivery of food and beverages served, ensuring it is consistently to the highest standards.

Entertainment

Pearl Business Class offers over 600 hours of entertainment on its advanced Audio-Video On-Demand system. With 16" personal touch LCD screens and noise-cancelling headsets, you can also enjoy more flexibility as you can use the Plug-and-Play feature to view your own videos, while the audio player lets you create your own playlists. You can catch up with work while you travel, with power access, USB ports and an RCA socket, so you can connect your laptop and work the hours away.

Etihad and the Virgin Australia Group of Airlines have joined forces to offer guests an expanded global network and increased loyalty rewards through fully reciprocal frequent flyer programmes and airport lounge access. Etihad customers can now travel from and to all of Virgin Australia Group's 44 destinations in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Asia and to Los Angeles. With our 71 destinations available to Virgin Australia customers, the two companies offer a joint network of 115 destinations.
